Jack Valenti Funeral

As was reported today, the funeral Mass for Jack Valenti, former head of the Motion Picture Association of America, took place today at St. Matthew's Cathedral in Washington DC. It was an amazing scene at the cathedral, where the likes of John Kerry and Ted Kennedy mingled with Kirk Douglas, Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta Jones, and Steven Spielberg. News reports refer to the remarks made by Kirk Douglas about his friendship with Valenti. What the news reports do not mention is that these remarks took place during what was supposed to have been the first reading at the Mass! An interesting case of liturgical deviation indeed...

A large group of Democrats and Hollywood elites in a Catholic Cathedral? It's too much to bear! Where was George Weigel? Couldn't he have stopped this travesty?

Neither Weigel nor Neuhaus nor Novak were anywhere in sight! George Tenet was hovering around though...
